Agriculture ministers of Việt Nam and the Philippines agreed to establish a rice industry alliance between the two countries and upgrade the trade relationship into an investment partnership.
Viet Nam has won a tender offered by the Philippines to export 60,000 tonnes of rice to the partner country at a higher price than that of countries which won the bids, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Viet Nam has won a bid to supply 130,000 tonnes of rice to the Philippines after the National Food Authority (NFA)’s auction on importing 250,000 tonnes.
